Implementing Behaviour Support Plans

What Is Behaviour Support & Why It Matters

A Behaviour Support Plan (BSP) sets out tailored strategies for you, your support team and carers, to manage behaviours in ways that respect your rights and foster growth. It combines preventative approaches, reactive supports, and regular monitoring.

How We Implement Behaviour Support at Cherish We Care

We work closely with NDIS-registered behaviour support practitioners to put your plan into real, everyday action. Here’s how:

  1. Collaboration & Consultation:

We ensure your voice (and those of your family / carers) is central. Our team collaborates with specialist behaviour support providers during development and implementation.

  2. Training & Capability:

Cherish We Care support workers are trained in positive behaviour support practices, ongoing monitoring and use of any restrictive practices (only when absolutely necessary).

  3. Monitoring & Reporting:

We maintain records, track outcomes, and respond to changes. If your BSP includes regulated restrictive practices, we adhere to mandatory reporting and compliance obligations.

  4. Review & Adjustment:

Behaviour support is not static. We review your plan regularly (at least annually, or more often if there’s a change), adjusting strategies to reduce or eliminate restrictive practices over time.
